The 2027 Information Theory Workshop (ITW 2027) invites proposals for themed sessions. Organizers should propose a theme within the scope of the workshop and invite three researchers actively working in that area. Suggested topics include (but are not limited to): coding for data storage, secure distributed computation, federated learning, post-quantum cryptography, decentralized learning, and next-generation wireless networks.
Organizers should submit a brief (1–2 page) proposal that includes:
- Title of the proposed theme.
- Short abstract describing the timeliness and relevance of the topic.
- Tentative session structure (e.g., whether all talks are 20-minute invited talks, or if a tutorial-like talk of up to 30 minutes is planned).
- List of potential or confirmed speakers (encouraged, but optional).
Invited speakers have the option to submit either an abstract or a full paper.
Full papers must include novel, unpublished results and will be reviewed separately and, if accepted, published in the workshop proceedings.
Abstracts or tutorial-like talks can cover published results by the scientific community, including those of the potential speaker.
Up to three themed sessions will be selected from this open call. Depending on room availability and proposal quality, additional parallel sessions may also be considered.
Proposal submission: Please submit your proposal as a single PDF via email to [email protected].
Submission deadline: July 19, 2026.
