Call for Papers

We are pleased to announce that the 2027 IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW 2027) will be held in the beautiful Bavarian city of Munich, Germany between October 05–08, 2027.

The IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW) focuses on high-quality research in information theory, coding theory, and related fields like machine learning, privacy, security, and quantum computing. It features, plenary talks, themed sessions, and contributed papers, offering a more focused atmosphere than larger conferences. Contributions spanning a broad range of themes related to information and coding theory and their interactions with other disciplines are strongly encouraged, including but not limited to the following:

  • Communications theory
  • Data science
  • Frontiers of coding theory and practice
  • IT and statistics, biology, and signal processing
  • Information-theoretic security
  • Machine learning theory and practice
  • Modern coding theory
  • Network information theory
  • Network coding and distributed storage
  • Quantum information and coding
  • Coding for DNA-based data storage
  • Post-quantum cryptography

ITW is a flagship workshop of the IEEE Information Theory Society, convening a highly concentrated audience of leading researchers, faculty, and graduate students working at the frontiers of information theory and closely related areas, such as coding and communications, machine learning, next-generation wireless/6G, security & privacy, DNA storage, distributed learning, and more!
