Instructions for paper formatting
Authors are encouraged to use LaTeX to prepare their manuscripts. Authors may use the ITW 2027 paper template. The maximum paper length is 5 pages, plus an optional 6th page containing AI statement and references only.
AI Statement: Authors are required to add an AI statement explaining the extent to which AI has been used in the paper according to the IEEE policy (see below). This statement can go on the 6th page of the manuscript together with the references.
Additional pages of supplementary material are not allowed for the EDAS submission; however, it is permitted to link to an online preprint of the paper posted to arXiv or techrxiv. The online preprint is permitted to contain supplementary material. Papers should use fonts no smaller than 10 points and have no page numbers and no headers or footers. The top and bottom margins should be at least 0.5 inches. The affiliation shown for authors should include an email address for persons who wish to write for more details about the paper. All fonts should be embedded in the pdf file.
AI Policy
ITW 2027 follows IEEE's policy of AI in publishing (see https://pspb.ieee.org/images/files/PSPB/opsmanual.pdf, pages 5 and 6).
In particular, this means:
- Authors are responsible for all content that appears in their article.
- Any material that is produced by artificial intelligence tools, including, but not limited to, any of the variety of generative AI programs, must be checked for accuracy and potential plagiarism by the author prior to submission.
- Disclosure: The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in an article (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section of any article submitted to an IEEE publication. The AI system used shall be identified, and specific sections of the article that use AI-generated content shall be identified and accompanied by a brief explanation regarding the level at which the AI system was used to generate the content.
Information for Reviewers on the use of AI: Information or content contained in or about a manuscript under review shall not be processed through a public platform (directly or indirectly) for AI generation of text for a review. Doing so is considered a breach of confidentiality because AI systems generally learn from any input.
Information for authors
The paper submission deadline is October 11, 2026 (extended), 11:59 PM AoE (UTC-12).
Acceptance notification: December 15, 2026.

Paper registration policy
- For each paper, at least one author must register as an attendee and presenter.
- Papers that are not presented at ITW 2027 by an author will not be published either in the proceedings or in IEEE Xplore, unless the TPC chairs grant explicit permission for a substitute presenter in advance of the event who is qualified to present the paper and to answer questions.
- The materials in the paper must not have been published or submitted for possible publication in conference proceedings elsewhere, or have been published or accepted for publication as part of a journal paper, at the time of submission.
